When it comes to this lathe, this really does seem to be one of those that are a hit to quite a few people. It’s actually not bad when it comes to either features or specs, as it does seem to have a little something that everyone can pretty much appreciate. An example of some of these features is the variable speed, the 16 TPI reversible leadscrew, threading dial indicator, as well as standard and metric graduation.

And as far as the speed goes, you’ll find that the low and high range is pretty good. On the low end, you can receive 0-1100 RPMs, as well as a high range of 0-2500 RPM. It’s also pretty capable, with two different numbers of thread pitches. So not only can it handle the more often used 18” thread patches, it can also handle the 10 metric. The range of threads is pretty high, too, as it can handle from 12-52 TPI. So, the ¾ HP, 100V motor is much more than just a little power, as it also does have a certain amount of versatility, as well.

There didn’t seem to be a lot of people who reviewed this product, at least from Amazon. Even still, just about every one of them were very happy with what they both. One customer said that they thought that this was a pretty good mini lathe, although it did come with a couple of surprises. For example, they were surprised that this was a product was made in China, especially considering that it’s an American company. They were also surprised to find out that it had plastic threading gears. But even though he didn’t seem to expect either of those things, they found that it didn’t affect the performance of the lathe.

Another customer said that they were also very happy with their product, and it did work as they intended, although there was a bent drip tray initially, but these things are known to happen when you’re shipping a product. Fortunately enough, they contacted Grizzly and they sent out a new product straight away, which is something that the company had become known for. They’ve been known for that in the past, and this is one of the reasons why the company has had a lot of success with their litanies of clients across the globe.
